Uber Eats International Licence Changes
Transfer your International Licence to a Queensland Motorcycle Licence by completing a Q-Ride Motorcycle Course. During this one-day course you will need to demonstrate your competency and understanding of the road rules. You will also need to complete an online Motorcycle Knowledge Test.
First step is to go to a TMR Customer Service Centre (Transport & Main Roads) and get a CRN (Customer Reference Number) and check your eligibility. Some countries are exempt from testing, see below. You will need ID documents and proof of Qld residence. (See checklist below).

STEP 1
Obtain a CRN Number
Go to TMR (Transport & Main Roads) Service Centre to get a Customer Reference Number (CRN).
You will need your ID Documents together with proof of Qld residence + international licence and translation if necessary.

STEP 2
Complete a 1-day Q-Ride Motorcycle Course
Q-Ride Course
Enrol in a one-day Q-Ride Motorcycle RE Restricted Course.
During the course you will need to demonstrate your competency. The course can be done on a scooter, contact us for more info.
This course is up to 8 hours and you must have some experience, be riding a motorcycle or scooter regularly in mainstream traffic conditions and be confident with cornering, low speed and braking control.
The Restricted (RE) licence course consists of two components:
Q-Ride Exercises:
Figure 8’s – turn at a low speed with control
Slow Ride – control the bike at a slow walking pace
Slalom – weave around obstacles
Controlled stop – bring the bike to a smooth stop
Swerve – similar to slalom, however faster
Emergency stop – stop quickly and smoothly with total control
Road Ride
The 2 hour on-road session will combine both practical testing and discussion, to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to respond to potential hazards. The road ride will be in various speed zones up to 80km/hr and involve 5 x ten-minute rides and 5 x ten-minute discussions on defensive techniques.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This is a pathway for those who are competent riders who know the road rules. If you are not competent or lacking in confidence, it is strongly recommened to do a referesher course prior to doing an assessment. If you fail, you will not be able to ride on Qld Roads with your International Licence.

Complete Motorcycle Knowledge Test
Cost $27.70
Motorcycle Knowledge Test
You need to answer at least 27 out of 30 multiple choice questions correctly on topics ranging from road rules to risk management and hazard perception.
With your CRN you can do this test online.

Apply for your Qld Motorcycle licence at a TMR Customer Service Centre.

This is not a pathway to transfer your car licence. If you require a car licence, you can apply for a car learners licence and do an additional written and practical driving test.
